Revitalizing Your Skin and Keeping the Signs of Age at Bay with Herbal Face Masks

Health
Natural face masks may very well be the oldest sort of skin care we know of, and were very fashionable even as far as back as the period of the early Egyptians. Cleopatra for instance, would routinely make use of mud from the Dead Sea, and even to this day, many facial masks contain nutritional elements which are acquired from the exact same mud Cleopatra was making use of all those years ago.

The number one drawback with masks would be the fact they are usually costly, and most especially when you like using them a on a regular basis. Sure, there are several cheap ones out there which come in powdered form, nevertheless as with so many things in life, you usually get what you pay for. Another problem with the low priced masks is that they very often contain lots of questionable ingredients.

Suppliers are quick to mention a number of ingredients which the public know about, but certain ingredients aren't mentioned at all, or if perhaps they are, it's usually in the fine print that is quite often too small to go through to start with. I personally don't use and type of skin-care products containing chemicals. My moisturizers, lotions, and my anti-aging creams are all 100% natural, so I wouldn't even consider using a face mask that's not 100% natural too.

In terms of facial masks, you also have to bear in mind there are unique masks for different purposes. On the whole, one gets masks which are formulated specifically for clearing the skin, and you get those which are formulated specifically for hydration purposes.

How often must you make use of these masks? I would suggest a great "deep cleanse" mask once every ten to 14 days. This is definitely an effective way to get filth and toxins out of the skin pores without having to count on any nasty detergents and and so on. My preferred masks are Kaolin based. In other words, the key base ingredient is Kaolin clay. I also frequently look for ingredients such as Shea Butter and Active Manuka Honey, along with natural vitamin E.

For hydration masks, I also advise fortnightly applications which can either be done directly after your deep cleanse, or in the weeks between your cleansing sessions. A good hydration mask will never have to be washed off after a certain length of time as you do with a cleansing mask. This is simply because a good hydration mask really should be designed in such a way to ensure that your skin is able to absorb it.

These hydration masks are spread over the skin, and then merely forgotten about. Given that it's better to apply these shortly before bed, any residue left after roughly thirty minutes can readily be wiped off using some soft tissue so that you don't make any marks on the pillowcase.

Naturally made face masks are a great way to rejuvenate your skin, and just as you would be expecting, top quality masks that are free of any chemicals, can certainly go a long way at keep those dreadful lines and wrinkle away.

Kalpana Rajagopalan has been helping women of all ages achieve their skin care goals for many years already. If you'd love to read more about naturally made face masks and other areas of skin-care, you should go to her site by clicking here.
