Are you excited to leave your home and ready to meet your dorm? More college students preferred to live in their dorms than staying at their home. They find it more practical. I don't need to say much just check the reasons why. Dorm is convenience. It is more convenient to have a dorm near to your school. No more travel time. It doesn't necessarily means that if you like to stay in the dorms you don't love your parents. In fact they love the idea that you are now independent and tough enough to stand on your own. Dorm is less expensive. Don't want your parents get mad at you if you always get an allowances out of them. It is more practical that they send you an allowances once a month and it is up to you to budget things up. Dorm is comfort. Since you are now owning a room. There is more time for you to do the things that you didn't do in front of your parents. No hassles to bum around all day because you know that no one will scold you. No one will care enough to say "hey do some chores". Dorm is freedom. Dorm is the place where you can hang out with your friends. Doing and saying crazy things out loud . You can stay out midnight, just make sure that your own key is with you ( well, some dorm has its own policy). Dorm is Safe. Some dorm is usually adjacent to the schools and some is walking distance ahead. Nearby schools means no travel time. There is no time for you to meet strange people from transportation. There's no reason for you to get scared when you are going at your dorm late. We are unfortunately living in the bad world. We need to lock our doors at night. Get a dorm for a while in college and after that you can go back to your parents and be with them. Remember being at home is still the best.
