You may be caught in a situation where you will need to defend yourself. You can only carry a gun if you have a permit to carry one. If you do not have this license, you can instead use alternative weapons which can be found in online or offline gun shops. These alternatives are not lethal but can still provide protections for yourself. One of the alternative weapons for self-defense is a stun gun or a handy electroshock weapon. This gives an electrical charge which can immobilize an attacker and give you enough time to escape. They are very effective and easy to hide. One of the drawbacks of this however is applying for a permit to carry it in states such as Wisconsin, New York, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, Hawaii, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. They can also be expensive thus if you want to own one, buy through an online store to save some money. The cane is not only used for walking but it can also be used to strike at a person who will attack you. A cane made for self defense has a curved hand, a plain grip or an ornate handle. It is very sturdy and can be used as a weapon to hit an attacker. You just need strike someone with it using its head or its length. A cane that has a hook handle is advantageous for self-defense because its curved top can grip the neck of an attacker. It can also hold one by the ankle for him to fall on the ground. Another weapon for self-protection when you do not have a gun is pepper spray which can be found in most major stores. This can be easily carried in the pocket thus you can bring it with you anywhere. A self-defense pepper spray contains a mix of pepper extracts and when it is sprayed on the eyes, the attacker would not be able to see anything. The ingredients of the spray will inflame the mucous membranes thus blinding a person for a while. There are other unconventional weapons that can be used for self-defense to replace guns. The tip of a nail filer can be used to stab on the neck, face and groin. One can also use a ball pen or an umbrella if a cane is not available. Aerosol hairsprays can be just as functional as a pepper spray. One can also use a survival knife which is made for purposes of survival in a wild environment such as a jungle or a forest, or in an emergency situation where a person will attack you. Danger can strike at any time therefore it is best to be prepared for unfortunate incidents. There are many criminals lurking on the streets waiting to pounce on innocent victims. If you have these alternative weapons, you can immediately protect yourself. It is better to place such things inside your pocket than in your bag so that you can grab them quickly.
