Attempting to write an essay? It must be enjoyable to read. Writing an essay about yourself is like telling your experiences you have gone through. All about yourself, either successful story or not. Getting a grip of yourself might be considered as a bias story, so might as well make it pleasant and not bragging. |
Nowadays, our online page allows us to do a brief introduction about ourselves. The best example of this is the social networking sites such as Facebook, Google plus, Twitter and Tumblr. They have a particular page in their site asking you to fill it out. They didn't give any extra credit for that but if you have a good written profile many possible people will like you.
Write your own subjective experience.
Writing an essay about yourself can be boring. But think about these experiences is valuable to the readers. So you need to narrow down your enriched, most embarrassing, self discovery and engaging experiences. It is okay to put a little serious life you have experienced. And as everybody says it must be simple and easily you understand.
List down facts about you.
As for me, I always start my essay on a second paragraph. It is advisable if you don't write anything in the introduction yet. More interesting facts about you might engage your reader to read more or to know much about you. You could also add some bizarre attitude you have.
Set a goal.
Do you want them to offer a funny stuff or just an information about you. If you came across that the essay that you write is not coherent to your goal, delete it. Construct it again then read it again ( in case you have misspelled words or you put the wrong punctuation marks. )
Offer a lesson.
The conclusion is always on the end part of the essay ( you could also include this "lesson that you have learned"). If possible, grab a friend and let him/her read your essay. Ask them if they have understood the message that you intended to show.
