The Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admission Test is formed by Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). It is an entrance exam taken by candidate who wants to study dentistry, medicine, veterinary, pharmacy science etc. at the medical university. UMAT is a three hour exam. It helps in determining the abilities and attributes of a candidate, and checks the candidates learning and experience,problem solving and analyzing skills etc. Candidates desiring to study medicine after schooling are eligible to sit for UMAT exam. The candidate can either be in the final year of schooling or has completed his higher secondary education.
