Maintaining the pond water fresh doesn't need people to be chemists or biologists. If you have either of these qualification, it'll significantly help you in the maintenance and look after your pond, however with a fairly easy introduction course in to water chemistry, even common individuals who own a pond can effectively maintain it and become much more knowledgeable, and finally create a well considered maintenance program. The term pH is generally employed every time the problem of pond water quality is being mentioned. The pH levels are rated on the scale from 1 to 14, and the level is dependant on the amount of hydrogen ions, which are found in the water. For the pond it's recommended a pH level of seven, because this way anything within it can live well. If the pH is more than seven, then it is called an alkaline pH, while below 7 it's called an acidic pH.
