It depends, the kind of industry that you operate in or the blog post, but when it comes to the keywords, you will get thousands of them around you to hit the SEO of your website. However, the best idea remains to be that you must incorporate 2-3 keywords per page, and again you have to be really choosy about it. Even after choosing great keywords, you can miss out your SEO goals, if it does not set to be precise in all its parameters. Most of the website fails to choose specific keywords for their website, but you cannot say that they are on the wrong track. To be precise they near the goals, but cannot achieve the goal and hence, miss out the great SEO opportunities.

Common mistakes

1. Selecting broad keywords: many bloggers and website owners tend to select big umbrella for their website and tend to presume that a large number of people would be landing upon their website. But let me tell you this does not work. These broad keywords sometimes create a lot of mess and you have to run for the quest of improving SEO services. Moreover, the broader keywords have to face more competition on search engines, which makes it difficult to get ranked in the first page.

2. Generic keywords: to understand this aspect, let us start with an example. Suppose you have a website on pizza, and the keyword you have chosen is just "tasty pizza". Now this is not a correct idea to create a lead in traffic. Because this does talk any details about the brand, its location or anything. So, choose specific and long tail keywords to generate good traffic.

3. Short keywords: As an internet marketing professional, people often ask me about the use of long tail keywords. Well! It has many practical benefits. In the first place, long tail keywords have major possibilities of appearing on the search engine. While short keywords lose this focus. Moreover, if you happen to get 250 searches monthly instead of 2500 searches, then you are a real winner. You must be thinking how. Isn't it? With specific long tail keywords, you will get more of target customers rather getting untargeted customers. May be the broader keywords have more visitors, but most of the time they don't prove to the potential clients or customers.

These are about the some of the common mistakes related to keywords. So, if you happen not be reaching your SEO goals, check out the keyword usage. I'm sure you will rock in the blogging experience.
