Apparently, the book has not only inspired everyone to go sex-mad with their bedroom antics but also with their bedroom décor. But the new wave of bedroom décor that the book has inspired is far from dull and boring. In a recent interview with famed TV designer and star Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, he said that the book has challenged a lot of people to remodel their bedrooms to one that is oozing with sex and raunchiness. By replacing the neutral colours with bright shades such as purple and pink, and accessorising with heavy textiles and sparkles, a whole new feel and look is created and it is sure to bring more action in the bedroom. Mr. Llewelyn-Bowen will be showcasing a naughty room and a nice room at the Ideal Home Exhibition in Londonto show the contrast between what can be done with greys and bold colours and designs. The new fashion is not all about bright, bold colors. It is also to do with combining dark greys and inky tones with brightly coloured furniture. Interior designers are taking grey as the base shade and adding large splashes of colour, like for example wallpaper with bold lipstick marks in red, pendants hanging from the ceiling, particular wall hangings, or just for the overall effect to the room. Grey works well with reds and purples or when mixed with splashes of yellow. You either get a brash, sexy look or a sophisticated French-inspired theme. In the last six months the book, which now tops the Amazon hot list, has literally taken the world by storm. It has inspired new, exciting design ideas not only in the living room and kitchen, but also in furniture. Various pieces of furniture like kitchen work tops and drawers are mentioned in the book along with art works, flower displays, and light fittings. All these are now being copied all over the world. Grey is not limited to interiors and it is making its mark on exterior decorating as well.
