Emissions control systemsmanufacturer Clean Diesel Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: CDTI) said itwill be partnering with American Infrastructure Leasing to offerfleet owners and operators financing for diesel emission retrofits. As a result of the collaboration, Clean Diesel will reportedlyoffer leasing solutions for Clean Diesel's ECS-branded dieselparticulate filter retrofit solutions to vehicle fleet owners andoperators across North America. Under the exclusive program, AIL will provide the capital which isexpected to enable qualified trucking fleets to acquire CleanDiesel retrofit solutions on terms that are convenient andfinancially attractive to their businesses, according to CleanDiesel.
Clean Diesel (approx market cap. US$ 16.1 mil.) engages in themanufacture and distribution of emissions control systems andproducts for heavy duty diesel and light duty vehicle marketsworldwide. The company operates in two divisions, Heavy Duty DieselSystems and Catalyst. The Heavy Duty Diesel Systems divisiondesigns and manufactures verified exhaust emissions controlsolutions that are used to reduce exhaust emissions created byon-road, off-road, and stationary diesel and alternative fuelengines, including propane and natural gas. Its products includeclosed crankcase ventilation systems, diesel oxidation catalysts,diesel particulate filters, exhaust gas recirculation/selectivecatalytic reduction technologies, alternative fuel products, andexhaust accessories.
This division markets its products primarilyunder the Purifilter, Purifier, Platinum Plus, and ARIS brandnames. It offers its products to original equipment manufacturersof heavy duty diesel equipment, such as mining equipment, vehicles,generator sets, and construction equipment, as well as to retrofitcustomers consisting of school districts, municipalities, and otherfleet operators. The Catalyst division produces catalystformulations using its proprietary mixed phase catalyst technologyfor gasoline, diesel, and natural gas induced emissions. Itsproducts comprise catalysts for gasoline engines, diesel engines,and energy applications. This division supplies its catalysts toautomotive manufacturers and heavy duty diesel enginemanufacturers.
