Most new video game systems come with an HDMI option allowing them to be hooked up with a single cord instead of the multiple wire composite cables option. Perhaps the most used use for the cables is to hook up a laptop or other computing device to a TV. This allows for a much bigger screen and the ability to use a laptop to stream movies and videos from the internet or to be used as a DVD player eliminating the need for other devices.
