A park bench may not be the ideal place you think of when it comes to having an entertaining evening, but they are things that you can do just at a park bench that can help you to have a fun evening. The things I am going to talk about are actually legal to do on a park bench don’t involve the use of any trench coats and will not draw the attention of law enforcement officials. You’re not likely to find any of this in any Houston entertainment marketing plans, but you may want to give them a try sometime. There are many times where I have taken a date into the park and we just sat on a park bench and had a quiet, romantic afternoon or evening together. Sometimes I pack a light picnic lunch in a nice picnic basket, but many times we will just stop and get some ice cream or popcorn and go and sit on a park bench. Believe it or not, these have very often been some of my best dates because we can actually sit and talk to each other without having to shout over music or noise at a bar or club. Park benches are great for people watching too. Now, you may not just want to go into the park and start staring at people. You may end up getting a visit from a local police officer if you stay there too long doing something like that. On the other hand, you can take a lunch and go sit in the park and just see the interesting characters that come by. I think it’s often better than watching television. There are actually a number of street performers who use a park bench as a prop in their shows. I know it may not seem like the best entertainment in the world, but if you are looking for something fun and different to do on a weekend, you could go through the park and see what is going on. A number of dancers use them in their performance, and I know I saw a couple of mimes I wanted to beat up using one as well. There was one club I was in not that long ago that had park benches scattered all over the club. They had gone for this park-like theme for the place and had these benches tucked away under trees and places like that. The problem was the people using them were just sitting on them and making out under the trees. Well, the best entertainment you can find using a park bench is – surprise! – in the park. While it may not show up high on any Houston entertainment marketing strategies, it is still a good place to go and get some fresh air. You may not be able to do everything there that you can in a bar or club, but you can still have a good time and save yourself some money. What do you like to do on a park bench?
