Sometimes when I am out looking for nightlife entertainment, I can’t help but wonder what the night would be like if I tried to take away everything that could potentially be bad for me. Then I realize that it would probably mean me staying home watching “The Golden Girls” with my mother, and then I move on to something else. The truth is that I am sure a lot of people would be more interested in finding something that they could do that is not completely toxic to their bodies. Actually, if you go out on the town with the intention of not drinking or putting some other bad toxin into your body, I am sure you can have a very good time. Of course, you can hit one of the many dance clubs in the city and dance the night away. Not only is this not toxic, but you get some good exercise and are likely to meet some pretty young ladies along the way. Okay, so maybe dancing isn’t your thing and you want to stay away from the bar scene for the night. I could recommend you take in one of the many music shows going on in town, if you think you can stay away from the bar while you are there. There is always a great band playing somewhere no matter what type of music you like to listen to. You don’t want dancing or music? You say you want something quiet but don’t want to stay home knitting socks? Well, you’re going to make this challenging for me then. How about taking in an art exhibit or going to the museum? Yes I said museum. It’s not as nerdy as you think and you might actually enjoy it even more without being toxic for the night. One thing I always find to be great entertainment is people watching. The great thing about this is you can really be almost anywhere and do this. You can go to the park, to the mall or even just out on the streets of the city. Just don’t start peeking into someone’s window. That’s a different kind of people watching that is just creepy. Okay, if you don’t like any of those suggestions, I may be running out of ideas for you. If you’re into sports, there is always some type of sporting event going on in this town or nearby that you can take in. Outside of that, your only options left may be church socials and laundromats, so it really depends on how desperate you get. It’s pretty easy to find something to do in this town when you are looking for nightlife entertainment. You may have to scout around a little if you are looking to avoid the “toxic” side of life, or you could always be the designated driver for your buddies and cart them around all night.
