English Bulldogs, origin of Great Britain since 1800, usually grow to a height of 12 to 14 inches at shoulder and weighs 40 to 50 pounds. They are not suited for places having hot climate. Dedicated breeding programs carried out can help reduce their general health issues although one need to take care of them to see that they have no health issues troubling them. Proper care and timely visits to the vet can help keeping health issues well under control.
