Colleges are educational institutions that offer individuals a chance to learn and be educated in the courses that they want. Despite having the same goal and aim, which is to educate their students, not all of these institutions are labeled the same. Vocational Schools Vocational school can also be called the same term because they offer a higher form of education after high school. The difference with these kinds of institutions if that they focus more on certain subjects and thus have a shorter turnaround. The courses that they offer are also more of the vocational type, which means that the individuals who attend these are hoping to learn manual and practical work and education from them. The courses offered in these schools are usually short term and may have even been sponsored by specific companies in order to educate their employees or to train potential employees. Some of these can also be called community colleges if they are focused on practical and manual courses. Some of the community schools offer courses that are not necessarily pertinent to work, but instead are good for developing the personal interests of the person. Some of the programs and subjects in them are more pertinent to life and enrichment for the soul than to the education. These are just some of the differences between the colleges that can be found in the United States.
