Sometimes people don’t react to gifts the way we hope for. One thing we do all love is reminiscing about vacations, high-school proms and weddings together. PhotoStory easy allows you to create incredible slideshow that will impress your friends and family. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on how to make your own slideshow, a perfect gift for Valentine’s Day. If you haven’t already installed PhotoStory easy on your computer download a test version from this link: http://www.magix.com/us/slideshow-software/. Open the program and select “Create new slideshow” to load the images you want to use for your slideshow. When you have done this you are already a good way towards making your own slideshow. All the photos you select will be displayed at the bottom of the screen, you are going to be using this area a lot in this tutorial. If the photos you selected are in the wrong order rearrange them using drag and drop. Simply move your photos around until you’re happy with the order. The photos I am using don’t need to be rearranged. Images will appear for 7 seconds by default, but you can adjust this setting to suit your needs. A window will appear to make adjustments when you click on the photo. I’m going to change the display duration to 3 seconds. It is possible to apply this setting to all the photos in your slideshow. Next to the preview monitor there are menu options for editing your slideshows. I’ve already edited my slideshow using Xara Photo & Graphic Designer so I don’t need to change any settings. This menu allows you to adjust the sharpness and contrast settings of individual images. The “View” menu allows you to change the position and size of your photos. There is a “+” sign in between each photo in the editing bar. Click on it to add a transition between two photos. Although there are lots of transition types to choose from, this time I will use a single transition for all different kinds of media. In the menu next to the preview monitor you will find the “Transitions” tab, here you can preview transitions before using them. Your favorite song would be perfect as background music in this kind of slideshow. The upload process should only takes a few moments. The “Audio” tab can be found in the same place. If you click on this tab you can search through your music and select songs. It is possible to add your own spoken commentary to the slideshow using the “Audio” option, provided you have a microphone of course. I want to write a little love message in my slideshow. To do so I simply click on the photo the message is intended for and then switch to the “Text” menu. After formatting the text, select the display duration. Watch out that your message isn’t still on the screen when the next photo appears. The devil is in the detail! The “Decoration” tab allows you to add some artistic touches your slideshow. When used properly the extras in this menu can make your images more playful and fun. After choosing an animation simply drag it onto the respective photo and move it around until you’re happy. Now your personalized gift is complete! You have to save it before you can share it. Simply click on the green “Finish” button, choose a save location and select a format – done! If you are not sure about your slideshow why not ask other members in the magix.info Community for opinions and suggestions.
