There are two different types of resellers that should be differentiated right off the bat. The first make their money off of royalties by anonymously redirecting a freelance client to the business that does the optimization. The second will simply refer these clients to the company with a referral code, which they will use upon making their order to give credit to the SEO reseller who actually brought them to the company. This is not the most preferred way of getting clients, (as the resellers are dependent on them actually remembering to put in the referral code upon checkout), but it is also less time consuming and can be a more rapid way of income. Most of the time in the second form of reselling, the amount made off of each sale is considerably less, (as the only thing they are doing is referring someone and then leaving the situation be), but it's less that the reseller has to keep track of. In the first form of reselling, they will have to keep track of all the clients they have, how much they are making off of each one every month, and if they have any concerns or questions that they need handled by you, (or the company indirectly). This is part of the reason that a lot of resellers are staying away from this method, (as it's not nearly as passive). This is something to take in to consideration when you are using a SEO Reseller, as you probably want to know if they are doing their work to make as much off of you as possible. Most people look for quality and care when it comes to having their work done through someone who is selling services from a corporation, as they are obviously going to be looking for the best results. One thing that you want to really make sure of when you hire a reseller is that the company they are working for can actually produce the results that he or she says, and that they are willing to be flexible on price negotiation and how much time it takes to actually see the first set of results from the work.
