Stop Struggling With Cellulite

Unfortunately for women, they tend to struggle with cellulite than men because of their innate genetics. However, there are ways to combat the condition without resorting to expensive surgeries and creams that only seem to treat the symptoms. The key to reducing cellulite effectively is to battle it at its root. If the causes are eradicated, the symptoms will also disappear.

Understanding Cellulite

Cellulite may sound like a fatal disease, but it is simply just the appearance of lumps on the skin as a result of fat cells pushing outwards. In women, the lumps appear frequently on the thighs, buttocks, and arms. This is due to the way the connective fat tissues under the skin are structured. In women, the tissues form a beeswax pattern. In men, they form a horizontal crisscross pattern. Sadly, the beeswax pattern is susceptible to the formation of cellulite.

Major Causes

Although most people point out to genetics as the main cause of the condition, excess fats, fatigue, stress, and unhealthy diet may exacerbate the condition. Due to the genetic skin structure of women, there are two problems that arise:

1. The retention of water and toxins under the skin increases as more fat cells are formed 2. The increased water retention leads to poor blood circulation as a result

The two problems stated above are technically the two main causes of cellulite. Because water usually fills up the connective tissues, blood flow becomes more and more restricted as the body gains excess fats.

Treatments

Most people seek temporary treatments for the appearance of cellulite. Some of the most common include:

1. Liposuction 2. Increased exercise 3. Yoga 4. Skin tanning lotions 5. Creams

Understand that the above-stated treatments only produce temporary results. For example, liposuction and extreme exercises decrease overall body fats, but they do not actually help get rid of cellulite. Yoga helps relax the muscles and keeps the blood circulation in check. However, when the practice is stopped, cellulite will most likely appear again. Creams and skin tanning lotions only hide the condition as well and do not actually produce long lasting results.

However, detoxification and a proper diet containing certain foods can combat the condition. As mentioned earlier, toxins fill up the connective tissues along with water. Hence, when the water retention problem is solved, the blood flow problem follows naturally. A natural approach to treating cellulite is actually the best way to overcome it.
