The first release of wordpress took place in March 2003. Unlike typo3 multishop design, Wordpress doesn’t seems to have the features that can make it a real Cms. Though wordpress is getting much popularity and its due to its quality of fast and simple working, but it will start facing the challenges like typo3 is facing presently when it diversifies its plugins. Wordpress is the specialized type of Cms that wants to become broad-based, and typo3 is a broad-based Cms that wants to achieve the tag of specialized cms. From these points one can sense that typo3 and wordpress are stepping forward with one another each having their unique strengths and challenges. Both frameworks are in the phase of development and healthy competition and both should learn from each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Typo3 should carve itself with the features that made the explosive growth of wordpress, and wordpress should mold itself in a complete and most sophisticated Cms framework like typo3.
