Grief fills the mind and so it is best to be prepared as early as possible when the job of organising a funeral must be done. Here are some of the things to think about: Who will usher attendees into the church? They are often nervous about where to sit, wondering whether there is a right or wrong spot, but actually, what works best is to have everybody ushered in to the seats right down the front, so that for the chief speakers, the venue looks full- this also allows for latecomers to take a place without disturbing proceedings and you should ALWAYS count on more people turning up than you imaged.
