With the way today's economy is it can be hard to keep up with the latest fashion trends and keep up with coloring your hair at a high end salon because it weighs heavy on your wallet. Having a budget isn't a bad thing. There is no reason why you can't look good while on a budget. The first thing you need to do is look through all of your expenses and come up with your budget of how much money you want to spend per month on unnecessary products and pampering. For women, hair is one of the most important things to them and finding someone you like to cut your hair can be a very daunting task. Once you find them you never want to let them go but if they are charging $75 for a haircut it's time to cut the cord. Most salons have levels of hair stylists. They are all very good and know what they are doing and the only difference is the price they charge for their services. Instead of going to a master stylist go to a junior stylist and that will cut your price in half if not more and they will be able to do any hair style you choose. Usually they are only called a junior stylist because they haven't been working at the salon for very long. Also, try looking for a hair salon that does not charge based on having long hair or short hair. That is just a waste of money to have to pay more because your hair is long. Having a good pair of sunglasses is a necessary thing to have because they protect your eyes from getting hurt by the sun. Sunglasses can be expensive especially if they are designer. Ray Ban sunglasses are a popular brand for both men and women but they are a few hundred dollars depending on the style you choose. To save money on Ray Ban sunglasses you can search the internet to see if you can find a discount sun glass website that has the style you want for less or you can go on auction sites like ebay and bid on a pair of new or used glasses. If you are not computer savvy and have to buy them in the store then do your research and see which stores sell the style you are looking for and wait for a coupon. Most department stores have coupons every week so it is silly to pay full price if you can wait and get 20%-25% off. Since hair extensions have become more popular over the last few years it has become easy to buy them in a store rather than going to a hair salon and pay to have them put in. Any beauty supply store like Sally Beauty Supply or stores sell hair extensions of all colors that you can put in on your own. Stores like Sally and Ulta sell very good hair extensions that are made from real hair so they can be dyed to match your hair perfectly or you may even find a color there that matches. Putting in hair extensions on your own gives you the option of making them permanent or being able to take them in and out. These stores sell clips that you can attach to the extensions or the glue that you put on your scalp to glue the extensions in to keep them longer. The package of hair extensions cost anywhere from $80-$110. If you buy a good brand of shampoo, conditioner, and frizz control products you won't have to waste your money on buying other hair care products to straighten your hair or control frizz. Pantene Restore Beautiful Lengths Frizz Control shampoo and conditioner is the best brand to use because Pantene makes both the frizz control shampoo and conditioner so you don't have to mix brands. Pantene has a great line of products and you can find them in almost every super market and drug store. They also come in larger bottles so it will last much longer so you don't have to keep going to the store every week to buy it. If you have straight hair using a hair straightening conditioner is good because it will make your hair straighter naturally so you won't have to dry it as much or use a straightener on top of the blow dryer or put any creams or gels in after you wash it. A good brand of hair straightening conditioner is the Organics Keratin conditioner. This conditioner has the keratin treatment in it so it makes your hair smooth and straightens your hair without any other products. If you color your hair there is no reason to give it up just because you don't want to foot the bill. A way to save in this area is to start coloring your hair on your own. You can either buy the hair color out of the box like Nice N Easy, Herbal Essence, or Natural Instincts that costs anywhere from $8-$10 or you can buy the hair color and highlights from a beauty supply store online that may cost a little more but not nearly the amount it costs to have it done professionally and have a friend or a family member that you trust with you hair do it for you. It is not a good idea to do it yourself because it is very easy to miss sections and then it will not look good. Being on a budget can be easy if you go to the right places to shop and the right products to buy. The best thing to do is research the products online. Don't settle on the first salon or product you find. There may be a better and cheaper one out there.
