Getting a job was always difficult. Try getting one without a college-degree! You will discover job advertisings requiring a Bachelor’s degree even for the most simplest of jobs. Before you find yourself down and out of luck, enroll in a university program with live chat software. Remember your high school graduation ceremony? As you walked to the stage to collect your diploma, your focus was on post-graduation parties with close friends and family members. You didn’t know that the ceremony signified an end to your teenage years. As a post-graduate, you can either join a community college or work full-time. While, a biweekly or monthly check will make you feel like the king of the world, you will soon discover it’s hard to find and sustain a good job without a bachelor’s degree. According to Burning Glass Technologies, employers are increasingly requiring college degrees for positions that previously did not require one. As more students return to school, universities can use live chat software to convince potential students to join their programs. Burning Glass’ chief executive, Matthew Sigelman, reported that from a period of 2007-2012, employers are “up-credentialing”. After an analysis of over 20,000 online job sources, more and more employers are requiring a Bachelor’s degree as a prerequisite for applying. His company discovered 10 occupations with the biggest percentage increases in requiring a graduate degree. In 2007, 11% of employers required higher qualifications for the position of a dental laboratory technician. In 2012, job seekers came across 33% of job advertisements that mandated a Bachelor’s degree for the same occupational title! Job candidates are now expected to be highly qualified if they want to become a photographer, a purchasing agent for farm products, or an electronic engineering technician. It is not clear why jobs which historically required fewer technical skills are mandating a college-level education. Some believe employers want to narrow down the pool of potential applicants. Others believe, these jobs have become more technically sophisticated in the last five years. In addition to being discriminated by future employers, high school graduates have discovered difference between the median wage for college graduates and those with high school education. In the late 1970s, the median wage for college graduates was 40% higher than for people with high school diploma. Today, the wage premium is about 80%! As a result, more students are using live chat software to enroll in universities. Live support software is an online CRM application which connects website visitors with a customer service representative (CSR). This web-based tool bridges the communication gap between students and universities. CSRs work around the clock to live chat in the browser’s language choice. These features are what make live support software unique. With traditional methods of communication, students either had to call or e-mail the college department for support. If problems weren’t resolved digitally, students would have to visit the campus in person to sort things out. CSRs bring an end to this problem! They are extensively trained to live chat on behalf of all concerned departments. CSRs can resolve queries regarding the university, fee structure and selected programs.
