The majority of Kathmandu's folks follow Hinduism; many others follow Buddhism and other faiths which gives Kathmandu a worldly culture. Nepali is the typically spoken language in the town. It has craggy neighbors on all 4 sides: Shivapuri, Phulchoki, Nagarjun, and Chandragiri. Of the fourteen tops above 8000 meters internationally, 8 are found in Nepal. Kathmandu is only 160km from Mount Everest, which at 8848 meters is the tallest peak on the Planet. Some 1310 other mountain tops are open for expeditions. Kathmandu makes the ultimate base for those wishing to investigate the mountains. Mountaineers apart, Kathmandu is crammed with significant and holy treasures like Swayambhu and Boudha which are enormous stupas, highly respected in Nepal and some of the most holy Buddhist sites in the country.
