The peak of a person’s academic life will always be finishing a degree. There is a bright future that is ahead of you once you own a diploma. That is why a lot of people strive hard to acquire good education and eventually have a decent job. One of the best job industries is accounting and finance. Those are the fields that are considered to be classics since it never gets out of the scene. Apparently, every company needs accounting and finance departments. In that note, many students still take courses that are related to those fields although it is known to be difficult in nature. There are numerous academic institutions that offer accountancy and finance courses. Almost all of them claim to provide the best curriculum for their students. However, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants or ACCA outshined the rest. This organization takes pride for its Professional Accounting Courses. It comprises Diploma in Accounting and Business, Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business and BSc degree in Applied Accounting. Anyone who takes an accounting course needs to pass a qualifying exam in the end. It is known for a fact that not everyone who takes it is lucky enough to pass. Thus, when you complete ACCA, the odds of you passing the exam is on a higher ground. For you to complete ACCA, there are several phases that you have to go through. You should not worry a lot about your progress because ACCA offers a program that is not complicated. ACCA syllabus has two parts: Fundamental series and the Professional series. All in all, there are 14 papers divided into four modules that you need to finish. The modules are called as Knowledge, Skill, Essentials and Optional respectively. The first module has three papers, second is made up of six then the third and fourth has three. If you get to see the complete list of papers, it is observable that there are 16 papers. This is because the student has the liberty to choose only two from the last four papers. In order for you to have a control over your progress to complete ACCA, you can select which papers you want to get but still in its proper order. Moreover, you are only allowed to take four subjects within six months. Like in any courses, there are prerequisite modules that you need to take before you complete ACCA. This mandatory set of subjects comes from the Professional Ethics module. This module is accessible through myACCA. There is also a way for you to not take all 14 papers and still complete ACCA. This can only happen if you are qualified for an exemption. You are deemed eligible to be exempted if you have the following: degrees, diplomas, certificates from respected organizations, professional qualifications and postgraduate qualifications. However, the limit of exemptions that you can have is only up to nine. You cannot have an exemption in the Professional module. This is because individuals who complete ACCA should be equipped with the most essential lessons which are found in the Professional module.
