Tourist Spots for Kids in Kuala Lumpur

Travel & Tourism
Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia, deals with visitors of every age group, including kids. After Mom has enjoyed her shopping rampage and spa treatments; Pa, his heritage-trail walkabouts, golf or binging in bars, where do you want to take the children for some fun? Below are some suggestions where to take them. Tucked at the foot of the Primary Range on Jalan Ulu Kelang, State Zoo homes more than three thousand mammals, amphibians, reptiles and birds from all the parts of the planet. Within them are antelopes, giraffes, zebras, ostriches, rhinos, penguins and local species like orang-utans, sun bears, civets, boa constrictors and gavials. The pride of the zoo are its rare species like the Pademelons, a miniature-sized kangaroo; Milky Stork, Flat-Headed Moggy , Golden Pussy-cat , Aldraban Tortoise, the biggest tortoise worldwide, and lots of others. A multi-animal show comprising sea lions, macaques and macaws is held at eleven am and 3:00pm daily. The Tunku Abdul Rahamn Lake in the zoo compound is home to above three hundred free-roaming birds. They're fed at eleven am and three pm. Visiting hours are 9am to 5pm daily. Ensconced on Level four of Suria KLCC in the PETRONAS Twin Towers, PETROSAINS contains numerous interactive exhibits about the technology and science of the petrol. The centre wants to excite interest in petrol science and the thrilling career openings in the business in an enjoyable way. The centres front-line staff acts as guides, presenters and protesters as well as facilitators to be certain that visitors enjoy and learn as much as practicable from the items. The high point of one's visit is a simulated helicopter ride to an oil rig! Operating hours : Sat. , Sun. and Public Vacations : 9.30 am - 6.30 pm ( Last admission is at 5.00 pm ) Tues. , Wed. and Thursday : 9.30 am - 5.30 pm ( Last admission is at 4.00 pm ) Fri. : 1.30 pm - 5.30 pm ( Last admission is at 4.00 pm ). Monday: Closed KL Bird Park is a wonderful arena of birds and a tropical nirvana. Found in the Lake Gardens, the park is also well generally known as a "Free-flight Walk-in bird house" that offers 8 hectares of lush valley terrain waiting to be explored. On entering the door of KL Bird Park, you are reputedly transported into a giant bird cage, with sufficient occasions to observe how eight hundred birds representing sixty local and foreign species live together. These have changed so well to this synthetic nirvana that they breed naturally. If you're fortunate, it is possible to see the wooing show of the Indian Blue Peacock, or get a glance of the crowned pigeon that has the body size of a turkey. Wading birds, raptors, Oriental birds, flightless birds are the other important attractions. Stretched over ten hectares and perched on top of a hillock, Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve boasts of walking trails, a children's playground and a nursery. The Merbau, Jelutong and Kapur Trials offer occasions to observe varied tropical tree species like Meranti, Keruing, Jelutong, Kapur and Pulai to say but a couple. Other flora includes uncommon herbs, creepers, ferns, climbers, palms and other exotic plants. Among the inhabitants of the park are squirrels, insects, butterflies and 2 introduced species of monkey. They're the Silver-Leaf Money and Long-Tailed Macaque. Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve is found on Jalan Raja Chulan. See the Raja Brooke, the biggest butterfly in the world in this Park, and more than six thousand butterflies representing 120 species. A lush landscaped garden, the Park was made from more than twelve thousand plants and trees, and is decorated with gurgling brooks and waterfalls. There's also a breeding area and a nursery that explains and illustrates the life cycle and mating practice of butterflies. A side attraction is an insect museum showing both live and saved species of creepy crawlies like rhinoceros beetle, stick insect, praying mantis, gecko and other creatures. KL Butterfly Park is found on Jalan Cenderawasih, Lake Gardens. Opening hours are from 9am to 6pm daily. Cosmo's World Theme Park is the biggest indoor theme park in Malaysia, and covers more than twelve thousand square metres; it incorporates a Haunted Chambers. With fourteen fascinating rides, the Park is split into 2 differently themed areas. "Galaxy Station" is specially focused for adult and teens. It offers 6 major rides; specifically, Supersonic Odyssey, DNA Mixer, Dizzy Izzy, Ooort's Express, Spinning Orbit, and Space Attack. "Fantasy Garden" is set in a colorful environment, and has 8 major fun rides. They make allowances for children and families to spend special time together. The lighter rides include Fantasy Trail, Silly Bus, Botanic Drive, Molly-Cool's Swing, Mate Go Around, Honey Bump, Flying Bumble Bee, and Robo Crash. Cosmo's World Theme Park is found on Level ten, Berjaya Times Square, Jalan Imbi. Kuala Lumpur.
