Nowadays, there are two popular phrases or memes that are commonly spotted online: 'Do you even lift?' and 'If it fits your macros'. The latter can also be abbreviated as IIFYM. The human body is the result of eating habits and degree of activeness. Therefore, if you want to develop a gym body then you will need to eat right and work out religiously. Simply working out at the gym isn't going to do, you will need to engage in the free weights section and perform some serious weight lifting at the Hampton gym or the local gym.

Apart from training your body through weight lifting, it is also essential to eat right in order to achieve physical fitness. There is a new trend or approach that has been flooding social networking sites as well as websites related to fitness and it is: IIFYM or if it fits your macros. This is a formula adopted by people to eat what they want while maintaining fit bodies. According to this technique, one doesn't have to stick to grilled oil-free chicken, brown rice and broccoli, one can enjoy consuming fast foods like fries, burgers, etc and still be able to enjoy the same results because in the end a calorie is a calorie. However, in order for this to work one has to use one's macros as a benchmark in order to guide one about the quantity of food to eat.

There are two kinds of nutrients: macronutrients and micronutrients. The former provides energy and calories to regulate functions like metabolism, growth and various other body functions while the latter is required in very small quantities in order to sustain the body. Some examples of micronutrients would be minerals and vitamins while the examples of macronutrients would be carbohydrate, protein and fats. According to thermodynamics, a calorie is a calorie irrespective of the macronutrient composition of one's diet.

Working out via lifting weights at the local Hampton gym and IIFYM is the perfect combination for a fit body. The 'If it fits your macros' approach is extremely flexible and allows you the pleasure of balancing your eating habits by devouring your favourite foods without any hesitation or guilt. Thus, through this approach, you will be able to enjoy life and not cut down on any food for the fear of it ruining your diet. In other words, you can enjoy any food that you like as long as it hits your targets for macros and is in sync with your calorie requirements, go over everything with your Melbourne personal training instructor.
