There is a tendency to set goals and beeline to them, and there of course are expectations around doing that. But this isn’t always the best module and sometimes this good intention marked further by even better efforts may not reap commiserating rewards, not to be the bearer of bad news. If someone is in parking space, oftentimes they might have to back up before exiting the parking space properly and then maybe speeding up and speeding away. And sometimes utmost dedication to the cause might not be too good a route and the exit strategy is the better off route. Obviously many situations present themselves that way. It might be laudable to back up or back off and just stay away and get away. Initially it might be a disappointment, you thought that where you were parking was indeed a good parking spot, and it is a bit disconcerting to let it go and give it up. But not only are you backing up but your also speeding away and this represents the open fields and range of possibilities that staying in that spot was never going to offer you. There are the more obvious situations were backing off is laudable and warranted but there are other situations where if you are not in the habit of questioning things or you are too ingrained in this manner that you might not even raise the necessary question of, should I be backing off on this? This could be for example a work situation where the effort is great but the related payoff is too low. It could be where you are socializing with people that are much less appreciative of you than others might be. Or it could be a belief you have held on to about yourself, that isn’t even tested in reality and is self-limiting and self-defeating. You can back off even on that, llet go and speed way,, yonder to newer, better and more exciting offerings somewhere out there.
