The marine lending market is alive and well in Australia. Interest rates are falling nearly every month and with summer quickly approaching, the boom is about to happen. Most of Australia population lives near or close to the water, whether it’s a river the sea or lake most of us appreciate this opportunity. Taking advantage of this fact as most do is or can be a costly process. The choices are these. Beach goers that enjoy the sand and surf are provided with sublime access to magnificent waterways free of charge. Life guard patrolled beaches and swimming between the flags, make this a nice safe adventure for the family and cost effective too. Fishing is also rife, with anglers opting for the safe option of river or estuary fishing. Canoeing can be fun and a reasonable alternative to the expensive cost of boating. Providing a safe but energetic option to purchasing a powered marine vessel. Boating in Australia in the past has incurred a fair amount of costs, with the vessel you purchase sitting idle for most of the winter months. The interest charged to maintain a Boat Loan has been on the high side. Maintenance of the vessel and upkeep of the motor even if the boat is not being utilised is expensive. Utilising a boat or even a Jet Ski during these times is not for the faint hearted. Although the hearty fisherman or woman no doubt rugs up and ventures out in pursuit of that elusive catch. Yachting can provide a mean between the fisherman and the jet Skier cost effective with minimal fuel cost and the ability to travel long distances with the sole us of the wind is a great cost leveller. However if you are like me, the need for speed prevails and you will require some form of powered aquatic vessel. Whether it’s a Jet Ski, Fishing boat, Yacht or Tinnie is really up to the individuals own preference. Be ready to part with some of that hard earned cash. Purchase wisely and buy from a private seller and save money. If finances are not an issue and you feel the need to purchase a new Boat, Yacht or Jet Ski then a dealer is probably the way to go. Both these equations will provide endless fun for you and your family while not breaking the household budget. Providing a larger marine vessel for recreational use will however incur a substantial outlay on your part. Marine vessels start to become a little expensive as they get larger or newer. Add to this the fact some of this cost maybe financed and your nest egg is looking a little smaller than it was at the start of this article. Marine finance rates have now hit an all-time low with larger boat entering into the sub 6% bracket. Still there is a time in one’s life when life itself must be worth living and the fruit of your hard labour are to be enjoyed. So please take into account all the associated cost involved a purchase wisely and enjoy.
