ELYSIUM, an upcoming American science fiction film which is written, co-produced and directed by Neill Blomkamp and produced by Bill Block and Simon Kinberg and starring by Matt Damon and Jodie Foster. It is a co-production of Media Rights Capital and Sony's TriStar Pictures. After a long time, TriStar is going to present another big budget film. The film is continuing with the story that in year 2154, a very wealthy lives on Elysium a Stanford torus high tech space station governed by President Patel which includes access to private medical machines to offer instant cures while everyone lives below on the overpopulated ruined "Third World Slum" Earth has become. The director Blomkamp is said that this isn't science fiction, this is today and this is now which means that Blomkamp want to create a new era of science fiction film in the movie world. Since the childhood, Blomkamp was always attracted by artwork and visual effects. That's why he always tries to make better than before which is resulting in "Elysium." In this film he used Weta Workshop and Image Engine to make the visual effects. Blomkamp used Matt demon to maintain both humanistic and barbaric features in the design of the creatures to create scary, hard warrior -looking man which is much more challenging. The look of Matt Demon is like a exoskeleton-crustacean hybrid and crab-like shells that is meant to initially a evoke sense of disgust from viewers but later the audience will sympathize with him such human- like emotions and characteristics. With the help of the Weta Digital plus, Blomkamp is trying to create a design of creature. He chooses a Vancouver-based effects company to make the films and visual effects. Weta Digital designed the diameter of mother ship and the drop ship. As well as the exo-suit and the little pets were designed by the Zoic Studios which performed 2D work and then on set live special effects is created by MXFX. Blomkamp is wanted to appear very natural instead of traditional pan- and - follow camera sequences. The idea of catching the super realistic view of combats much like a documentary. A few number of camera rules are derived from the rules of space cameras. Blomkamp is wanted that the entire action to be seamless without breaking it up is necessary. The shots are pre-visualized which is followed by shooting live action sequences for the scenes. In post production, Weta Digital plus takes animated as per requirement. The environment of filmed is using a Canon EOS 5D with a motorized nodal head which is allowed 360-angle captures with a 55k resolution. So in this modern world people from every age want to see high tech graphics. These kinds of sci-fi movie use technology and some leading render farms help them to create the sci-fi movie. Render farm is software that assists in CGI and is very helpful to create visual effects. It is widely used in film and television industry these days. Gone are the days when a filmmaker had to rely on sloppy images. Now-a-days, thanks to technology, it is possible to create very realistic images and that too within a very short span of time.
