Fortunately, there are several natural remedies that you can choose to curb such a disorder. ?A dry itching skin is usually characterized by an irritation that elicits an urge to scratch. It is a superficial sensation that originates?from between the dermis and the epidermis, triggered by histamine released by your body in response to an irritant of some kind. Skin dryness and many other factors like sunburns, allergic reactions to drugs or allergens, insect bites and stings and infections can cause itching. Fortunately, there are several natural remedies that you can choose to curb such a disorder. ? Cider apple vinegar It is considered as one of the most beneficial that can be used to alleviate itchiness associated with a dry skin, safely and effectively. This can be attributed to the fact that apple cider vinegar is rich in nourishing enzymes that can help restore your skin's acidity. It can be added to a lukewarm bath or sprayed directly onto the affected portion. ?This is a natural remedy that possesses both anti-fungal and antiseptic properties. Using Aloe Vera Using Aloe Vera is nature's most powerful healing herb that can help you tackle a wide range of skin related complications, including its ability to reduce itchiness. All you need to do is to extract the gel from the plants fleshy leaves by slicing through the middle, and then rub it on the affect areas. The gel is high in powerful ingredients that can soothe itches, rashes and blisters. Using oatmeal This is another natural remedy that is usually administered by adding it into a bath. However, it is vital to note that this is not the oatmeal that is usually eaten, but it is a mixture obtained as colloidal oatmeal. You simply need to add this colloidal oatmeal in your bath water, in the tub, and then immerse yourself for about ten minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water and be cautious with how you dry your skin. Using mint Using mint is the oldest remedy that has been used for many centuries to soothe dry and itchy portions of the skin. It was used in Chinese folk medicine as an effective ingredient to remedy this biggest organ. Using mint contains a bioactive ingredient known as menthol which has anti-inflammatory and anesthetic properties when applied topically. Put dried mint leaves in boiling water and leave it to simmer for some time, cool, then soak a clean cloth in the resultant concoction and apply it over the affected parts of your skin. David C.
