I think I have started to get a little too easy on myself lately. I find that I do not track as expediently after I eat something, and maybe, sometimes, a morsel (or ten) doesn't get added to the tracker. What happened to that Tracking Fanatic that tracked on cell phone, IPAD and desktop computer as soon as I thought about eating something? I have 10 more pounds left to lose. Do I think I have only 10 pounds to lose? Did I say ONLY? ONLY? Have I begun to think of myself at the end of my weight loss journey, and is this thought having a negative affect on my weekly weigh Ins? I believe so. I see the number of weekly activity points decreasing in my tracker now that my eye is on the finish line. Where is that sweaty little Fireball that started this program? Hungry for exercize and so happy and fulfilled and PROUD every time I moved my body outside of the normal course of my day?What about my super supportive family who tell me almost every day how great I look; my 18 to twenty year old girls who exclaim my outfit is cute or my new haircut looks great. And my husband (who love, love, loved me even with my severe muffin top) tells me I look HOT. Thank God for my family and i love the this positive reinforcement, but has it somehow given me the false perception that I have ALREADY crossed the finish line into the group of people that have hit and maintained their GOAL WEIGHT? Well, Sister, I am not yet one of those and I am not going to let my mind sabotage my weight loss journey now, when I am so close. I know that this last leg can be as difficult as the first week, and the plateau weeks combined. It may well may be the hardest part of this race. How easy it would be to settle with my current weight, but I will not allow that to happen. I look at the pictures of my vacation last week and I see a lovely lady who needs to lose 10 pounds. I committed to a goal weight, I will feel accomplished and PROUD when I hit that goal weight. I will be comfortable and satisfied at my goal weight and not before.
