Nebulizer is the term I first encountered with a few years back, when my wife was seriously ill. She was heaving some breathing problem, and then doctor asked us to use nebulizer. It was the first time when I encountered this useful life saving equipment. Though small in size and simple in functionality, still nebulizer is one of the most crucial medical equipment for asthmatic patients. One of my friends, who are the owner of a Nebulizers Manufacturers company, told me once those nebulizers can save lives in case of sudden asthma attacks. Many people don’t even know what a nebulizer is, and how to use it. Hope this article of mine will guide them about the same. Purpose of Nebulizer! Many people might ask me what exactly a nebulizer is. Well it is medical equipment, used to treat respiratory disorders, mainly asthma, and sometimes also used for aromatherapy treatments. These are the device which actually transforms liquid medicine into mists one, and thus absorbed by patients. Types of Nebulizer! Well mainly there are two types of nebulizer present in market. One is known as the ultrasonic one, while the other one is known as the compressor one. Well, if you ask me, mainly there are no differences between the two types of nebulizer, except that ultrasonic one use vibration to turn the medication into mist, while the compressor one uses air for the same purpose. As far as the effectiveness is concerned, both are almost equivalent. Yes, there is one more difference between the two types of nebulizers. The ultrasonic nebulizer is the one which is more portable. How to Use a Nebulizer! Well, frankly speaking when my wife first used it, I was not even aware about the process of how to use it, but as per my friend here is the way to use them: Cleanliness is being the most important aspects of using the nebulizers. Make sure before using the nebulizer, you should wash the hands and keep them clean. Next step of using the nebulizer is that you should open the cup of the device carefully and place the medication inside the same. Now connect the tubing and attach the mouthpiece to the nebulizer. For some infants and younger children, a mask is given in place of the mouthpiece, so don’t be confused with the same. Now turn on the same and make sure that the mist is coming from the mouthpiece or mask. Always make sure to keep holding the nebulizer cup in an upright position. Make sure after the use you should clean the parts of the nebulizers and dry them. Make sure all the parts should dry. If it would not dry properly, it might attract germs, which can be dangerous in case of next use. Always make sure that nebulizers are used for asthmatic attacks, so you should keep the necessary medicines at your hand, and keep them safe from kids.
