A young teenager, 16, of Madison, was eastbound on Moseley Road driving a dark-colored 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier. About 8:12 a.m. she failed to yield from the stop sign at Route 528, near the border of Lake and Geauga counties, and was struck by a red 1999 Mack cement concrete mixer machine, according to a news release from the Ohio Highway Patrol. Both vehicles came to rest off of the east side of Route 528, just south of Moseley. The Geauga County Coroner’s Office pronounced Kamposek dead at the scene. She was wearing a seat belt. The concrete mixer machine concrete mixer, which had been southbound on Route 528, was driven by Brian E. Shank, 61, of Painesville. He was transported to the Lake Health Madison Emergency Department by the Thompson Fire Department with injuries not considered life-threatening, according the news release. He was not wearing a seat belt. Both roads were closed as a result of the crash. They reopened shortly after 2 p.m. The Geauga County Sheriff’s Office, Thompson Fire Department and Ohio Highway Patrol responded to the scene. The OHP is handling the ongoing investigation.
