In my writings, I occasionally allude to my former career as a “professional problem solver”. What I am referring to is my fond memories as an investigator. I am reluctant to discuss my professional experiences because I feel the activities I engaged in brought me into conflict with my values. If anyone is interested in reading about that part of my life, it can be found on websites throughout Internet. Much of what can be found about me on the Internet reveals my interest in missing and abducted children. My twenty plus years of experience as a “problem solver” opened my eyes to what I’ve come to know as the “human condition”. Many of my clients were people who hired me to assist them in resolving complicated domestic matters. Try to imagine the kinds of emotionally charged controversies and conflicts people might bring to a person who calls himself a “professional problem solver”. I received a great deal of insight into human nature by becoming involved in other people’s “messes”. I found that, in most cases, my domestic clients were not getting the outcome they desired because their predicaments were the result of internal conflicts. After many years of trying help my clients “get theirs”, I developed an acute sense of cynicism. My clients insisted on paying me large fees in an effort to resolve situations that they alone were responsible for creating. Some of my cases would never have been closed had I not taken it upon myself to let the client go. Any experienced life coach will tell you that the messes we find ourselves in are nothing more than a reflection of our mental and emotional state. The accumulation of wealth and material possessions will not cure your pain. Please understand this. If you were to give me or any other professional problem solver twenty trillion dollars, we would not be able to remove your pain. We cannot expect our political leaders to do this for us either. Money is a tool for change. It is not the change itself. Money is not the answer to your happiness. The change we seek can only come from within ourselves. The pharmaceutical companies, lawyers, mental health professionals, government leaders will be happy to take your money. However, they cannot correct the mental and emotional instabilities that are driving our global society to the edge. We are setting ourselves up for a huge disappointment in thinking that any one person or group will be able to correct the problems of the world. The languishing global economy and the effects of global warming are a reflection of an imbalance we are experiencing within ourselves. We have violated the Law of Equilibrium. We are out of balance with ourselves and nature. Our inner fears have manifested these conditions. There is a concept that metaphysicists (or metaphysicians) call “consensus reality” or the “common or conventional reality”. Consensus reality consists of the rules that members of a society mutually agree to observe in order make the human experience possible. Consensus reality is a condition which we share as a society. In the past few decades, I have seen large numbers of people seeking to escape consensus reality. People are creating “alternate realities” because they no longer enjoy the experience being offered in consensus reality. These alternate realities primarily come in the form of what medical professionals call it mental illness and substance abuse. Of course, there are many other forms of reality escapism. Mental illness and substance tend be the most severe forms “abandon ship” I have seen. The best piece of advice I can give in regards to creating of a more enjoyable life experience is this: Do not entertain your fearful thoughts. Your fears cannot physically harm you unless you allow them to. If you accept your fear as the undeniable truth - you will create your worst nightmare. Please understand this? Our fears represent the reality we are now manifesting in the world. We are at a very critical "fork" in our history. We need to get some clarity or things could go very badly for us. We need to pull out of this predicament. This starts by recognizing the fears within each of us that are contributing to the condition of the planet. When speaking about the Paradigm Shift I sometimes refer to it as a “Great Awakening.” The Great Awakening is what I would call a desirable outcome of this transformational event. In media interviews, I talk about confronting difficult subjects like guilt, stress, and pain. These are the things that I believe a person must face and conquer in order transform and experience the “awakening.” While I do believe that pain and suffering is the current reality for many of us, I will also say that it is does not have to be. We can choose to let go of the limiting beliefs that keep us stuck. We do not have to be in pain. Pain and suffering does not have to be a permanent condition for us - as individuals and as a global community. It’s important to realize that there are people in the world who will resist your effort to transform. I have personally experienced this opposition. These negative influences will attempt to block your path by sending you discouraging messages. My advice is that you simply ignore it. It is illusory and need not affect you. We all possess an intuitive sense. Most people have the ability to discern the truth. I believe we are born with this ability. Please use it to your advantage. We need to take responsibility for our messes and be willing to clean them up. There are some people who do not want to go through the transformational process because it is scary. Do not stay in what you believe to be your comfort zone. “Do not be afraid” is the message that I have been hearing.” There are people in the world who are available to help you succeed. You must be willing to take the first step. There are many people trying to bring us back into the consensus reality by providing us with the tools we need to successfully manage our lives. They come under many titles. Most recently I have seen the term lightworker being used. They often provide their services for a fee as life coaches (everyone needs to make a living). Professionally trained Life Coaches teach their clients that they alone are responsible for creating their own personal reality. Please listen to them. You are not “casual creators” who live life by default – you are reality artists. The difference between the two is that reality artists paint the life of their dreams, whereas casual creators take no interest in their lives and take what is given to them. Who would you rather be?
