A 5.1 surround sound is the common name for six channel surround sound multichannel system. All 5.1 systems use the same speaker channels and configuration which has a left and right channel, a centre channel, two surround channels and a subwoofer. The 5.1 uses five full bandwidth channel and one low frequency effects channel. 5.1 is now the most commonly used speaker system for commercial cinema and home theatres. To get the most of the 5.1 surround sound system, the main aim is proper localization and equability of all acoustic sources for a centered position audience. There are some standard configurations for playback of 5.1 music which are: Five speakers of the same size for front, centre and surround Identical distance from the listeners for all five speakers Angle adjustment regarding viewing direction of audience: center 0°, front ±22.5° for movies ±30° for music, surround ±110°. If the speaker are placed meeting the above requirements, it gives the optimum sound quality which is not always possible because of space constraints. How if we could connect our TV and DVD to the 5.1 surround system for a real sound experience. The existing TV set or DVD player’s audio output may or may not be compatible to be hooked to the 5.1 audio speakers. The TV and DVD player should have six RCA ports to support 5.1 channel audio. If there aren’t six RCA ports to the existing TV or DVD, then a 5.1 capable AV receiver is needed which are easily available. The TV’S cable or satellite box, DVD player or any other component will plug in to the receiver. The receiver will have an output for video to the TV. The speakers hook up to the AV receiver. The last step is to plug them all in and it’s ready to be used. Fenda Audio’s 5.1 surround sound systems comes in a range of model each with their own distinct features, most of which have separate inputs available for DVD(5.1 CH) and AUX which can be selected via source key provided on remote. AUX mode is basically for stereo input, which may be TV, Mobile etc.
