In life and in entrepreneurship, learning is a constant process. There is always something to learn from people and from events that occur. Even a dark cloud has a silver lining. Let us look at a few important lessons that bosses and managers should master: Think At least once a week you should dedicate time to thinking and pondering. During this time you should not be in touch with anyone. Your desktop and your mobile phone should be away from you and you should only think about what you are doing, where you are heading, how you can improve, and how you can grow faster. Enjoy You took up entrepreneurship because you wanted to. It was you decision and you are living it. Don’t ever forget that. Through hardships and through strife, too, enjoy your way of life and where you are headed. Don’t let work feel like work for you. Also, don’t let past experiences ruin your present. Learn to let go. Take Care of your Loved Ones You may love your work a little too much but that by no means gives you the license to ignore your family. You may be busy but you should make time for your loved ones. In fact, you should prioritize them. Family comes first! Learn that Some People will Simply not Understand you No matter how much you try to explain yourself there are instances when people simply won’t understand your train of thought. You should tell yourself that this is okay. You don’t have to make yourself clear to each and everyone. Try putting across the point but if the person doesn’t get you even after you put in the effort, you should accept that. If you don’t, these people will impede your progress. Hire Good Character Good character is more important than educational background and experience. [I am not saying the latter two don’t matter. I am only saying that good character matters more.] When you hire you should not just look at skills but also the person’s character. Employees with good character are definitely a catch. They will work with dedication and keep things upbeat. There you go, these are the lessons you should always walk with. Entrepreneurial Learning We learn something new at every wake of life.
