Pay attention to the traffic you buy.
Spend some time in getting your target market right. The secret to great marketing is to zoom in on your target market as precise as possible. It is way better to advertise to a hundred super targeted customers than to a million random people. Put some time and effort into finding your best target audience and the rewards will be huge. Facebook ads is very good at this. You can be very specific when doing your targeting, if you like you can only target one person! This can be game changing when it comes to expensive products.
Experiment with keywords.
Play around with Google Keyword Planner to get more keyword ideas. I know you are eager to get your article out there as soon as possible, but if you don’t have the right keyword for your article you might as well leave it. Research is key in internet marketing and getting your keywords right is essential. So take a few hours and make a list of good keywords and build your articles and videos around them.
Don’t count on SEO exclusively.
Getting SEO right is a science that very few people have mastered and it can all go up in smoke with one Google update. You can literally lose your business with one flip of a switch at Google. Rather write some articles and make a few videos, put them on large websites and piggy back on their popularity. Remember to use good keywords in order to get the maximum exposure.
This is obvious , but a lot of times marketers get this wrong. Make sure your links are active and that they direct customers to the correct page. It’s just negligent if you get this wrong. Make it easy for customers to navigate your site, give them lots of links to relevant pages. You are selling information, make it easy for them to get it. Don’t put stuff on the top shelves like some brick and mortar shops do where no one can reach it. Do some well thought out virtual merchandising.
Don’t remarket the same product to people who already bought it. This happens all the time , believe it or not. You have to segment your list if you want to get this right. You have customers and prospects. They should be on different lists. I want to go through the roof if I get an e-mail promoting something I bought a month ago, it just shows the person is not on top of things and I will never buy from him again. You work so hard to establish trust with your customers , don’t blow it by being lazy. This one little slip up can cost you hundreds of dollars in lost sales.
Traffic is the life blood of your internet business and you should spend lots of time on it. Few people can spend huge amounts on advertising. The alternative is to do a lot of research and submit a lot of keyword rich articles and videos. This is a lot of work , but if you are not prepared to do this you should just stop right now and find something else to do. Nothing worth wile is easy, so get stuck in there and keep your eye on the prize.
