Durgapur is a growing hub of government and private industries. If we discuss area wise, a good number of eating places are located in Benachity which is the largest market in Durgapur and these are Dawat-E-Biryani (Continental, Chinese), Kohinoor and Solo Ana Bangali. The centrally located place in the town is named as City Centre and eateries located here are Panthasala, Ananya's Restaurant (Chinese and Tandoori), Boiled Ices and Food Mart. Fast food outlets like KFC, Subway and Dominos are also located here at City Centre. The Junction Mall is the largest shopping centre which caters to the branded shopping needs of consumers. The top floor of the mall is where elite Chinese outlets like Mainland China and Lemon Grass are located. A food court called Buzz Court is also located on the same floor and serves delicious Continental, Chinese, and South Indian cuisines. In comparison to consumer selling, Chandidas is equivalent to Benachity market and many good eating places are located here including Jhilam and Karan's Delicacy (both serve Chinese and Continental); and Kohinoor and Soumen which basically serve Indian cuisines. One can say that restaurants in Durgapur are spread all across the town and it shows that people here are real food lovers. These places are Banskopa Inn (Continental, Indian) and Utsav Resort (Multi cuisine Restaurant (Indian, Chinese, Tandoor, and Continental & Bar) at Rajbandh; City Cabin (cafe & restaurant) at David More; Dinner's Inn (Indian, Mughlai) and Kohinoor Snacks at ADDA-Garage Market. Newly developed posh areas in Durgapur include Bidhan Nagar which is emerging as a favourite hanging place for the youngsters. Popular eateries present here are Dosa Plaza, Pritika Restaurant, and Zaayka (Indian, Chinese, Tandoor). Other eating places in this industrial town are E3 Restaurant Cum Bar at Kumar Mangalam Park; Hong Kong, La-Cafe and Tandoor at Steel Market, Khawa Dawa at Bhiringi More; New Hotel Samrat at Faridpur; Priyanka Restaurant and Sasural at Bhiringi; The Rivera at Durgapur Barrage and Vibgyor at Muchi Para.
