Solo ads are a great business opportunity for anyone looking into online business or marketing. They are also the number one method for growing an email list quickly and reliably.

Solo ads are very easy to set up and don't take long to start making money. In fact, it is very realistic for someone to be making $50-$100 a day within the first 3 months.

How Do Solo Ads Make Money?

A big part of making money online is having an email list (a long list of customer emails to sell products to repeatedly). However, building a list that's big enough to actually make money can take some time. This is where solo ads come into play.

A solo ad is a free offer to someone else's email list. In order for a person to receive the offer, they have to sign up for your email list. Free content, reports, and videos are common solo ad offers. A solo ad vendor will usually rent out his or her list to you for a fee, usually in increments of 50-100 clicks.

A: Building Your Own List To Rent Out

The quickest and easiest business opportunity for solo ads is building your own email list and then renting it out to other people looking for solo ads to build their email list. A targeted yet sizable list is a great asset because it can be used to make money over and over again.

Tip #1: Get your squeeze page right.

Because the email list owner charges on a per click basis to your squeeze (sales) page, you need to make sure that your page looks appealing and is properly optimized.

Tip #2: Split test.

Split testing is nothing more than taking two versions of something, (usually a website, squeeze page, or landing page) measuring the results, and then using the best one.

Tip #3: Make sure you use tracking software.

Without tracking software (or a tracking code), you have no way of measuring how many clicks you received (making it impossible for you to perform split testing). Needless to say, you should never rely on your solo ad vendor to tell you how many clicks you received.

Tip #4: Screen the list vendor.

Be picky about the solo ad email list you choose. Come up with a detailed list of questions to ask the list owner. Be specific in exactly what you are looking for. Only rent from list owners who are trustworthy, professional and responsive.

Tip #5: Choose a relevant list.

Make sure the email list you want to rent targets the exact audience you want to target. The more relevant the list is to what you are selling, the better the response (meaning more customers and sales).
