Summer is here, which means it’s time for me to bring out my huge beach umbrella (yes the one which is yellow and has white polka dots all over) and run to the nearest beach in the city. I’ve had enough of all those chilly winter mornings when all I wanted to do was pull the blanket over my head and sleep a little more. Summer is going to be all about bright, sunny days and I’m going to be a walking fireball of energy. This is exactly why I love summers. The cheerfulness of this season is so infectious that I go out and buy an entire set of new clothes and footwear. But this year, my shopping list is a little more specific. This year, I want nothing but fila sandals. Why Fila, you ask? Well, the other day I saw my friend wearing an old pair of sandals that she should have thrown at least a year ago. When I asked her why she was walking around in those shabby sandals, she had just one thing to say, “Put yourself in my shoes and you’ll know”. So I wore her sandals and walked a few metres. And, oh my god! Never in my life had I worn such comfortable sandals. The soles were so soft, the straps were firm but not too tight, the Velcro closures held my feet in place. Everything about that pair was simply perfect. I wanted the same pair. And that’s how Fila sandals landed in my shopping list. Now all I had to do was take a little time out from my busy schedule and buy those oh-so-comfortable Fila sandals. I was waiting to get rid of those sneakers I wore with every other casual outfit. My feet had start feeling suffocated - very understandable, if you ask me. With the temperatures soaring by the day, my feet needed some air to breathe too. I knew that neither my feet nor could I bear the discomfort any longer. I had to buy those Fila sandals immediately. No, I can’t wait until the weekend and sacrifice my precious afternoon nap to go shopping. I will buy fila sandals online instead. So I decided to do the needy during the lunch break at work. After all, that’s the benefit of online shopping, isn’t it? I can pull out my phone any time I want and start shopping. That day at lunch, I quickly finished eating and started browsing through the catalogue of an online store to choose Fila sandals for myself. I was delighted to see that Fila products were stylish. There were sandals in quirky colours like neon green, bubble gum pink and bright orange. Ah! Exactly my style. I picked one pair of sandals in neon green, added it to my shopping cart and placed my order. I was so delighted. Now I’ll have the perfect combination of style and comfort on my feet.
