You must be careful when you are terminating your employees since the employment laws are always guarding them from employers. Termination is certainly a big issue at this time, but employment laws also make sure that the employers are getting the kind of work that they need from the workers. Poor performance is always one of the reasons why a worker is terminated. This is because it will affect the efficiency of the company. As the employer, it is your duty to make sure that your employees are doing well on their work so if someone is struggling, you need to give them a chance to show themselves. We all know that gross misconduct is a big difficulty in the work place because no one really wants to work with people who will attempt to sexually harass them or hurt them physically and verbally. As the employer, you have a job to stop your employees from performing unnecessary things to their co-workers and you will have the power to terminate them if they will not change their attitude. Terminating them immediately won't be a good option, but it will depend on the kind of thing that they did. If some was killed in the workplace or your employee harassed someone sexually, they will have to be removed instantly. Nevertheless, if the difficulty is not really big, you are able to notify them first.

Day offs are inevitable, but performing it on a regular basis is not good at all. However, if the employees are doing this without informing the management of the company, this will significantly impact the efficiency of the company. When some asks for a day off, the management will make an effort to adjust the schedule to make sure that the work efficiency for the day will not be affected.

If the employees will attempt to take a day off and they will not inform the management, you are able to say that it is a reason for termination. You still need to notify them, but if nothing changed despite your efforts, you are able to fire them without any problem.

You need to think very carefully before you decide to terminate an employee. Employment laws will also protect the workers from being fired so it is best to have a valid reason.
