Signs are very important and will continue to be very important for many years to come. They provide societies with a certain amount of order, particularly when we perceive a lot of these signs to be universal. Round signs that slash out cigarette signs mean no smoking. Red lights mean stop. A sign therefore takes care of our safety and keeps us informed of a particular rule in a certain place. One of the most important types of signs that people should have in their vicinity is fire exit sign. A person might ask,why do I need fire exit signs?’ During a fire emergency, arrows and signs should be there to direct people on where to go and the right thing to do instead of allowing their state of panic to take them elsewhere - possibly to their deaths. Imagine if you are in a structure caught on fire and the fire alarms go off. The fire door behind you is automatically closed by the Dorgard, and you get the sense that you will be trapped any minute. You start panicking. Your heart starts beating faster. You try thinking on your feet but the only thing you see is an opening. You run through the opening but because you are new in that place your mind struggles to know where to run to. You finally reach a corridor and miraculously, there is a fire exit sign that says "Fire Exit This Way" with an arrow on it leading the way. Now imagine if that fire exit sign was not there? Definitely the danger on your life would have been much higher. Maybe you would have even tried to run back to the fire door where obviously the Dorgard would have barred you from opening the door. You might have been easily trapped in that room. Or maybe you would have ended up taking a different corridor. Things could have been worse, if in that panicked stated you decided to take the elevator. Thank goodness for the cheap fire exit sign at the end of the corridor! Now do not worry if you are planning to meet someone in a building soon after reading this. The UK government implemented the FSO (Fire Safety Order) 2005 to ensure that each and every business establishment complies with certain fire safety regulations and guidelines. Thankfully, fire exit signs were an essential part of the program. Even though there are far much bigger investments for buildings when it comes to fire safety like fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers, nothing beats the signs that will tell anyone with eyes where to go and even what to do in case of fire. There are various types of safety signs but the fire exit signs are perhaps the most essential. This assures that a person does not go and knock at a Dorgard locked fire door in panic screaming for help instead of going down the stairways of the building safely. If you are the owner of business structure, get those fire exit signs or else you will be against the law.
