ISIL, Al Qaeda, or Taliban are nobody in the Sunni states. They did not win a single parliamentary seat through popular vote in those states. The predominant Sunni states where majority of Muslim population constitutes Sunnis, such as Indonesia with 99% Sunnis, Malaysia 90% Sunni Muslims within Muslims with a ban on Shia Islam; Brunei 99% Sunni Muslims; Bangladesh 92% Sunni Muslims; Saudi Arabia 90% Sunni Muslims, Pakistan 85% Sunni Muslims, and many more of the predominant Sunni states are devoid of religious extremism in popular votes. In contrast to this, the Iranians are ruled by the clerics of their brand of Islam through a popular mandate. The underlying phenomenon reflects a conclusive religious leaning with sectarian bias in Iran, or areas under Iran’s influence. This in no way reflects the Ismailis, Agha Khanis, or some in the Asna e Ashri as followers of Iranian influence. The statement cannot be generalized, however there is a pattern in behavior in areas under Iranian influence. The overarching question is, wherever there is an Iranian influence, there is chaos; either amongst the Shia masses, or the Sunni religious outfits through financial support from Iran. This includes Hamas. Why is it so? There are incidence where the Shia population has been abused by Iran, such as the Shia Hazara community of Quetta who have had been recruited by Iran to transport them to Syria. Though, Shias by faith, yet their financial needs were exploited to promote terrorism by the Iranian state. These Iranians under cleric’s regime have infiltrated into the deeper roots of Pakistani society as well. The intelligence network of Pakistan is fully aware of it, but difficult for them to handle due to inherent support through sectarian exploitation by Iran, not only in Pakistan but also in most countries of the world. Iranian indoctrination has made these people more Iranians than Pakistanis, more Iranians than Americans, more Iranians than Bahrainis while living in those nations. This is disturbing in dealing with loyalties of those indoctrinated through sectarian teachings of Iran. Such a situation has made this case more complicated. Though, Muslims around the world constitute 85% Sunnis and around 5% Shias opposed to Iran, yet the 10% indoctrinated through sectarian teachings will continue to resist international efforts for peace. Yes, the Iranian dominance will be resisted by the 90% of the Muslim population, yet the only factor that is vulnerable to be promoted through media campaign by Iran is the Israeli factor to distract Iranian opposition. Iran will try to drag Israel into the Arab Iranian conflict to muster support on the streets of non Arab Sunni states such as Pakistan, and Bangladesh. The Iranians have built up their pockets of support through financial incentives to Sunni religious outfits in these countries. These outfits are ready to promote anti Israel and anti American sentiments on the streets by burning American and Israeli flags. How many of those burning American flags know that out of the 7 billion dollars annual budget of the Palestinian Authority, the 50% is supported through direct and indirect U.S. financial support, and the rest by Arab States in the GCC. Iran has no contribution towards the well being of the Palestinian, rather Iran finances the destructive part, a support to Hamas to fire missiles on Israel which results in reprisals bringing bigger casualties for Palestinians. Iran considers a loss to Palestinian well-being, a gain for Iran due to the fact that Palestinians constitute 100% Sunnis. Iranian regime, needs to be fixed, otherwise this war is an unending war. It’s a war based on expansionist designs of Iran to promote her brand of Islam through coercion. In a situation like this, there seems to be no end to it. This will augment hostility amongst civilizations of the world, however United States could benefit from longer Chinese, Russian and Iranian engagements, which will result in their economic collapse, a serious threat this war poses to China and Russia. It will bring Sunni states closer to the West and may avert hostilities with Israel, should Israel play smart and support U.S. dream of a two state solution living at peace.
