It’s not every day a CEO uses his own wedding as part of a commercial. Eric Beans, the CEO of Texting Base, filmed a commercial by using footage from his own wedding. The commercial showcased the various features that the software has to offer. On August 29, 2015, at the Florida Aquarium, the couple said “I do” in front of all of their guests. Texts were created a week ahead of time to go to the different groups. This meant that the vendors received texts with the information they needed. The wedding party received texts with what to wear and the times for each wedding event. Even the guests were set up as a group and they received texts providing information on timeline and parking. The premise of the commercial is that by scheduling the communication ahead of time, the texts allowed everyone to find out what they needed to know. It also took the pressure off the bride so she wasn’t receiving phone calls and texts all day long with common questions. Proactively answering questions reduced stress considerably. The clips of the wedding also made it personal. The commercial features aspects of the couple getting ready, the ceremony and the reception.
