CountWise , the global leader in customer traffic counting analytics and solutions, has been selected to implement its I-Count customer counting solutions for FANZZ Sports Apparel
FANZZ is one of the nation’s largest sports apparel and merchandise retailers, with more than 120 locations in 22 states along with an amazing online presence. Fanzz reviewed many vendors during its search to upgrade its existing customer counting solution, which used an older, less accurate break-beam counting system. CountWise was one of a select group of companies invited to offer proofs of concept, and one of two finalists.

The I-Count system, which incorporates CountWise’ exclusive patented Shape Recognition Technology (SRT), was chosen by FANZZ over a competitor who was using a 3D sensor with stereo vision. In head-to-head tests during a rigorous pilot phase, I-Count showed itself to be more accurate than the 3D sensor product and FANZZ existing customer counting solution, according to Ligeti.
“I-Count, which has already been implemented at over 70,000 retail locations around the world, not only offers extremely accurate traffic counts, it also offered the best in-store video security features, including integrated monitoring and analytics, of any of the solutions that FANZZ recently tested,” Ligeti said. “And we were able to offer the most economical solution of any of the competing vendors, as well.”
The I-Count perimeter solution offer retailers the ability to measure traffic to determine peak sales opportunities, improve conversion rates, measure marketing effectiveness and develop KPIs and other metrics to continually improve retail operations.
The need for better customer data drove the decision to upgrade, according to Steve Eliason, Director of Real Estate for FANZZ.
