Lexington, SC - Flip Law, Chairman of the Board of W. P. Law, Inc., announced that the Board of Directors has named Terry L. Brady as President of W.P. Law, Inc. as of January 1, 2016. Brady succeeds Thomas W. Plumblee, who retired on December 31, 2015 after 41 years of service. Plumblee will maintain his place on the company’s Board of Directors. “We’re in the midst of a management transition here, and there are some big shoes to fill. But that’s not all; we’re also experiencing a changing of the guard within our customer base. This new, modern generation of customers obtains information differently and buys differently. The role of distribution is changing, and W.P. Law, Inc. will continue to analyze and adapt our services and processes to remain at the forefront of our industry,” Brady stated about the future of the company. Prior to becoming the third President of the company, Brady served as Executive Vice President for over fifteen years and has been on the Board of Directors since 1992. He graduated from Clemson University in 1989 with a B.S. degree in Agricultural Engineering and started with W.P. Law, Inc. as a summer intern in 1988. Throughout his 27-year career, Brady has held various positions within the company that include irrigation systems design and sales, and management of a branch. The Board of Directors at W.P. Law, Inc. has also named Brian M. Fields as Executive Vice President. Fields has acted as Purchasing Manager since 1988 and has served on the Board of Directors since 1992. A 1986 graduate of Clemson University, Fields has a B.S. in Management as well as a Lifetime Certification as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) by the Institute of Supply Managers.
