Tulsa Architects Provide Celebrity-Inspired Designs

Art and Culture,Business,Real Estate
The advent of reality television has given American audiences rare insight into the furnishings and personal tastes of celebrities that we see in television and film. Many of the designs offer up inspiration to architects throughout the country.

The way the system works is that the mass media outlets run their shows, the American public tunes in, gets inspired and wants their homes to have elements that they have seen in specific shows.

In the case of Tulsa Architects, this holds true for shows that are popular on HGTV, DIY Network, TLC and several other cable channels. Shows like MTV Cribs made these celebrity-guided tours so popular with the younger generations. Some of these aspects were over-the-top ridiculous, while other elements were more attainable. That younger generation are now home buyers and their tastes are reflective in what is trending in popular culture and on these shows.

Taking Your Home Theater To The Next Level

Technology continues to evolve and so does the television screens, movie projection systems and surround sound engineering. If you have the means, home theaters are a popular addition to new home construction. The logistics and costs of seeing A-run movies, when they debut, can be expensive and difficult to coordinate in larger groups. Hosting movie premieres in one’s home are proving to not only be a new niche in moviegoing, it’s also changing the landscape and causing disruptions for the traditional brick and mortar movie franchises. Many people would rather watch a nice movie in the comforts of their own home, than deal with traffic and the hassle of cell phones ringing during the movie or other attendees being disruptive. If the customer wants convenience and a “no fuss” approach, Tulsa architects have been providing this in spades with their state-of-the-art designs.

In the case of Seth McFarlane (Family Guy, Ted), he took the home theater experience to a completely different level by having IMAX Theater quality installed with the stadium seating that provides the optimal movie-watching experience.

Outdoor Kitchens Are All The Rage

As the economy continues to be slow and people show more caution about how they spend their money, many families are migrating towards outdoor kitchens and entertaining guests at home. Tulsa architects have seen an uptick in the way outdoor square footage is being utilized and are accommodating the needs of their customers with extra plumbing, natural gas filters and extras like backsplash sinks and work stations with granite countertops. Depending on where you live, the outdoor views can take your overall cooking and hosting experience to new levels of fun and creativity.

AirBnB Amenities Are Here To Stay

Yet another disruptive technology has been the proliferation of sites like AirBnB. Instead of paying expensive rates to stay in cookie cutter hotels that serve a basic purpose, AirBnB has allowed home owners to open up their doors to people looking for something different. Nice yards, jacuzzi spas, swimming pools and outdoor patios have overtaken room service and the one-dimensional experience you get at a hotel.

You know that when A-List celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Jessica Alba and Sandra Bullock are renting out their homes, that trend and popularity are going to transcend to everyday life. Television shows dedicated to showing off these homes spark innovation and design creativity that creeps into the landscape.

Home owners that have a tendency to take vacations will rely on Tulsa architects to design bonus functionality into their pre-existing homes that allow for the needs of guests that stay at the home. Unlimited wi-fi capabilities, state-of-the-art technological hubs, as well as smart utilization of sustainable architecture (ie. green technology) not only reduce year-round expenses for the property owner, but also modernize the dwelling into something that attracts repeat house guests and maximum usability.

Health-Conscious Designs

Physical fitness, healthy eating and taking care of oneself are traits that are gaining momentum, as we evolve out of the obesity epidemic that has plagued our society over the last 20 years. A trend that Tulsa Architects have noticed are healthy homeowners desiring to turn their living spaces into green and sustainable properties. This trend has not just been about owning a green space. It’s also been about using environmental-friendly chemicals in the treatment of wood, sustainable architecture practices that reduce monthly bills (ie. solar paneling, watershed technology, etc).

Urban gardening is a new development that requires maximizing one’s square footage, in order to reap fruits and vegetables that not only help reduce monthly bills, but also provide an organic fresh and healthier way to improve the family diet.

These are just four major trends that are being felt nationally in major-market and smaller-market towns throughout the United States. There are literally dozens, if not hundreds of ideas and concepts that are being incorporated into modern architecture that will only gain in popularity and seep into the architectural landscape of this country.
