Importance of PPE It is extremely important to create a safe and a healthy environment in the office. Also, train your employees on how to use these equipment so that they know how to report the fault if detected. Selection and use It is very important to do the right selection of an equipment. You should first decide who is exposed to what and for how long and how much are they exposed to any particular hazard. While selecting a PPE, make sure to use those equipment which suits the user. Do consider the size and the weight factors while selecting one. Also, instruct the users how to use it. The users should know how and when to use it and it is mandatory for them to know about its limitations. Maintenance PPE should be properly stored and looked after when it is not in use. Make sure to keep it in a good condition so that it can be reused and can last long. It would also minimise the cost of the company if proper care is taken. Employees too should take proper care of the PPE equipment and should also report any fault or destruction in it. You should keep a regular check whether the PPE is used or not and if it is not used on a regular basis then make sure that it is used daily by the employees. Place mandatory signs everywhere in the workplace that mandate wearing PPE all the time.
