 January 2016 saw the official launch of a new website for domestic consumer water testing services in Ireland – www.alswatertesting.ie The website was developed to meet growing Irish consumer demand for a service to test the water quality of public domestic water supplies as well as for those with private water wells. Speaking at the launch event at the ALS Life Sciences headquarters in Clonmel, managing director Jeff Carroll said: “Clean drinking water is important to everybody’s health and well being, it is essential for life itself, yet how do we know our home supply of drinking water is clean of impurities that may be detrimental or even damaging to our health?” Building on the analytical water testing services that ALS Life Sciences provide to their commercial customers and the public sector they identified a growing demand from Irish consumers to provide an easy to use service to request a domestic water quality test online. Customers can order their water test online, take their water sample at home and then return it by post or drop the samples conveniently to one of four ALS Life Sciences laboratories around Ireland and Northern Ireland with locations in Clonmel, Cork, Portlaoise and Portadown. ALS Life Sciences laboratory is accredited by INAB (Irish National Accreditation Board - Reg. No. 166T) and can provide a range of testing services to meet all requirements from general water quality checks to full analysis and to assess compliance with Drinking Water Regulations in Ireland.
