Ayurvedic beverages to beat the heat!

Health
Ayurvedic beverages can quench your thirsty and as well it acts as medicines for health. These beverages are completely natural and have no side effects.">Everyone gets tempted to drink the fizzy carbonated drink to quench the thirst in the scorching summers. It looks so refreshing and cool. Very few people know that these artificially flavored carbonated drinks are incredibly harmful to our body. They dehydrate you more instead of replenishing the water levels.

Ayurveda, the ancient medical science of India offers a long array of cool, refreshing and natural drinks that regain the water levels and provide necessary minerals and salts. Since they are 100% natural, there are no harmful effects. Though most of them can be made at home easily, nowadays we have good-quality readymade Ayurvedic beverages as well.

Ayurvedic beverages cool down the body without creating an imbalance

Ayurveda believes in the total equilibrium. According to it we have three fundamental forces in our body which should be in a balanced state. During summers, the “Pitta Rasa” (or Fire Force) and “Vata Rasa” (or Air force) are prominent. They should be balanced by consuming food and beverages that are sour, salty and sweet in taste. Hence, Amla, Kokum, Raw Mango and Lime are considered the best in the summers. They should be consumed with plenty of water, sugar and salt. The ultimate mix of these ingredients makes it a real “Power Drink”. Other than the things mentioned earlier, Coconut Juice, Cucumber Juice, and Watermelon juice are also considered good.

Common disorders during the summers

Ayurveda says that we lose the inner strength and digestive capacity during the summers. We also lose immunity and are more vulnerable to diseases as compared to other seasons. Excessive heat increases the risk of sunstroke and vomiting.

Natural beverages restore the balance of salts and minerals and make us cool and refreshed. They also control common summer ailments like loose motions, irritability, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting. The drinks made from natural ingredients quickly cool off the body.

Raw mango drink is considered an excellent remedy for sunstroke. The pulp of boiled raw mango should be mixed in water, and adequate quantities of sugar and salt should be added to it. It should be consumed before going in the hot summers. Also, one should drink a glass of it after having exposure to heat.

Lemon juice is rich in Vitamin C content. It also contains vital salts and minerals that reduce the risk of sunstroke. Freshly squeezed lime juice with salt and sugar is an ultimate refreshing Ayurvedic Beverage.

Ayurvedic beverages can quench your thirsty and as well it acts as medicines for health. These beverages are completely natural and have no side effects.
