It never ceases to amaze me what a wide demographic of travellers visit Bermuda. While there aren't many people who wouldn't say yes to a holiday in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world - with stunning beaches, a genuinely interesting culture and a range of incredible cuisine - the surprise to many visitors is that this really is a destination that successfully manages to be "all things to all people". Chill Out at the Seabreeze Lounge Cooler than the coolest Bermudian winds, the Seabreeze Lounge at Elbow Beach is chilled, chic and soulful. This is the place to come for laidback grooves against the backing sounds of the ocean, complete with delicious tapas and sushi. A Little Bit Country at the Bermuda Bistro at the Beach Just like the song goes, it's a little bit country and it's a little bit rock and roll – but it also throws in a bit of soul for good measure. Local troubadour Ray Pasnen is a musical chameleon, channelling a different genre every night of the week with just his piano and guitar for company. Laidback and Live at the Jasmine Lounge For delicious desserts, the best cocktails on the island and the cool, laidback grooves of local bands, the sophisticated and very grown-up Jasmine Lounge, in the luxury Fairmont Southampton, provides live and up-late Bermuda nightlife in style. If you want to show up fashionably tardy, start your evening with the latest beats and talented Djs at the Dock, at Waterlot Inn, nearby. Find it: Fairmont Southampton, North Shore Rd. Ph: +441 2388000. Open 7 days, live music Tues-Saturday. High Energy Rock at the Pickled Onion One of Hamilton's most popular live music venues, every night's a party at the Pickled Onion. Whether you're into reggae, rock, club, or hip-hop, you'll find it here in all its unique Bermudian glory. Local rockers Graffiti Park entertain most nights of the week, but on Tuesday nights they hand over the mic to anyone who wants to release their inner Bon Jovi or Bob Marley. Fancy your chances? Steel Pan Style at the Swizzle Inn Home of the original Rum Swizzle, the Swizzle Inn was never going to do live music by halves. The emotive and joyful sound of the steel pan drums is the epitome of Bermuda's spirit and the island's best proponents of this unique musical instrument bring the Swizzle Inn alive six nights a week.
